Empty nutshell. Original case for your christmas surprise.

Sermon in a Nutshell is a weekly series that recaps the sermon from the previous Sunday.

Preached on July 31st, 2016 at Northwest Baptist Church.

Sermon Text: Matthew 6:19-24

Nutshell: Jesus instructed His disciples to not waste their time, energy, or resources on things that will not last forever. He told them to not “lay up treasures” on earth, but rather to “lay up treasures” in heaven. Jesus’ message focused on wasting our lives on things that do not matter. Are you wasting your life or are you investing in eternity? What will your life show when it is all said and done? Will you have lived a life for things that are here today and gone tomorrow? Or will your life’s consuming passion the glory of God?
